Research Documents
The Program Review Action Committee's Research Team has put together a collection of documents relevant to the current OCDSB Alternative Elementary Program Review. The following documents are available in PDF format (also listed on the Research Team page, http://programreview.asac-ottawa.org/research).
- Alternative Elementary Programs [98-105] – OCDSB Report to the Education Committee. Purpose: To provide information to trustees concerning Alternative Elementary Schools in the former Ottawa Board of Education.
- Work Plans for MFI and Alternative Elementary Programs [98-368] – OCDSB Report to the Education Committee. Purpose: To present the Education Committee with two work plans pertaining to te implementation of decisions pertaining to the MFI and Alternative Programs.
- Progress Report on the Alternative Program Working Group in the Ottawa Carleton District School Board [99-104] – OCDSB Report to the Education Committee. Purpose: To provide a progress report on the activities of the Alternative Program Work Group.
- Revitalization Project Final Report – ASAC Report submitted to the OCDSB Education Committee; final report of the two-year ASAC-led Alternative Schools Revitalization Project, final version unanimously approved and adopted by ASAC February 28,2008; full title: Towards a Revitalization of the Alternative Program.
- Revitalization Recommendations Summary – Summary of the recommendations presented in the above document.
- [Toronto] Alternative Schools Final Report 05-06 – Toronto District School Board Reserach Report, February 2006; full title: Broadening Choices: An Evaluation of Alternative Schools in the TDSB .
- Analysis of Board Staff Report - On January 8th, 2010 board staff at the OCDSB released their final report on the Alternative Elementary Program Review. ASAC has analyzed this report and produced a critique of the methodology, data, analysis and recommendations. The first page of this report was submitted as background material to the January 19th Education Committee. The full 18 page report of details is available here.
